SITKA GOLD clarifies previous news release
VANCOUVER, CANADA – December 18th, 2019: Sitka Gold Corp. (“Sitka” or the “Company”) (CSE: SIG) (FSE: 1RF) wishes to clarify certain statements made in its news release dated December 18, 2019 at the request of IIROC. The Company hereby retracts that portion of the news release that states that the exploration program “provides Sitka with an opportunity to potentially add significant ounces to the historical resource…”. Companion Policy 43-101CP, 2.4(5) states that such statement could trigger the filing of a Technical Report. Specifically: An issuer could trigger the filing of a technical report under paragraph 4.2(1)(j) if it discloses the historical estimate in a manner that suggests or treats the historical estimate as a current mineral resource or mineral reserve. We will consider an issuer is treating the historical estimate as a current mineral resource or mineral reserve in its disclosure if, for example, it (b) states it will be adding on or building on the historical estimate.
The Company wishes to reaffirm that the historical resource estimate is not a current resource estimate and should not be viewed as such. The Company intends on continuing with the current exploration program and will complete a current resource estimate at a later date if results warrant.
